As a desk assistant it is my first and foremost responsibility to ensure the safety of all the residents living and visiting in the building. We monitor the main entrances along with monitor the multiple cameras around the building. This can have a few effects, we are there to alarm the police in case of an emergency, but also to help any students in the case of medical emergency. Additionally, it is my responsibility to help any resident with any issue that they may have. This could take the form of calling for assistance or directly helping with an residents issue.

Worked with Swagelok Capital Projects Company (SCPC) to develop a distributor competency assessment. Its was our goal to asses distributors ability to fulfill large scale construction projects. This projects mission is to better understand our distributors, and how we can better support them in new construction. After assessing, SCPC can provide supplementary training material to fill gaps. With time, SCPC hopes to be able to off load more projects to local distributors, and focus more on larger scale projects. My time was spent laying the framework for the assessment, including building a matrix that would serve as the bases for the assessment. This matrix was used to build a question set supporting those matrix elements. Here I was able to use my leadership, along with critical listening skills to obtain critical competencies from experienced SCPC staff.

As an intern, I worked the three summers in-between 2014 and 2016. As an intern at Payne & Payne Builders I worked closely with team members to help in daily activities. This included helping to update cost to date files, prepare proposals for customers, meet with trades, and numerous other responsibilities. As a highlight to my time, I was given the opportunity to be a leader in a Make-A-Wish project where we built a large wheel chair accessible treehouse for a young man with a terminal illness. My duties included gathering donated materials, scheduling trades, and meeting with different trades onsite. This was a company wide project that was touched by every staff member throughout the company. It was my responsibility to organize this project and do much of the behind the scenes leg work.
