- Created invoices for all vessels docking in the New Bedford Marine Commerce Terminal from June to August, calculating out water charges and security fees for each internationally flagged vessel.- Calculated pilot fees dependent on the draught of vessels, gross tonnage, and docking fees assessed.- Created a vessel schedule, updating daily on vessels arriving and departing the terminal.- Calculated tariffs from multiple ports to compare with the New Bedford Marine Commerce Terminal to determine how much to charge a potential customer to lease dock space.- Performed daily inspections of the terminal and created gatelists displaying crew members arriving or departing along with companies providing services to each vessel.- Calculated out terminal revenue for specific months to find trends and compare with the previous years earnings.

Plymouth, Massachusetts

- Daily tasks included: review invoices of shipments, analyze freight rates and quotes from freight forwarders, make cost comparison sheets in excel comparing freight rates per month.- Organized rates from multiple Chinese ports; broke down the cost analysis to allocate the most efficient port for each shipment.- Analyzed data and product volumes, sorted top products into excel by quarter and created graphs detailing highest selling items.- Reached out to potential freight forwarders, set up meetings, reviewed their freight quote and added their company to our clientele while offering 100 containers of service each year.

- Spent a total of three weeks in Singapore and Malaysia studying the shipping industry by visiting with shipping companies in the following fields: Vessel Chartering and Brokerage, Marine Insurance, Logistics, Ship Management, Port Technology and Port Infrastructure.- A project was then presented at the Netherlands Maritime Institute of Technology on port infrastructure, logistics within a port and a comparison between Singapore and Malaysia in regards to port technology.
