Developed internal & external security systems for the Home Office's Immigration Platform Technologies (IPT) department. Primarily the implementation and customisation of security systems protecting public and internal passport and immigration processing systems, data and biometrics.Key Achievements* Lead the development of a custom internal identity & authentication platform used to secure internal applications used by thousands of government case workers (Java, Bash, SSO, OAuth2).* Helped develop customised threat detection and encryption tools to scan for security vulnerabilities and identify potential threats (Java, Bash).* Increased the speed and robustness of the CI deployment pipeline across multiple networks, applications and servers.* Training of new security engineers in engineering and security standards across the IIAS department.
