As Associate General Counsel, I perform legal services on behalf of various constituencies across Roswell Park’s mission areas, including research departments, clinical departments, faculty, educational areas and administrative/operational departments.I am primarily focused on patent prosecution and intellectual property-related contract review and negotiation. I perform contract reviews, negotiations and approvals for the wide variety of contractual relationships entered into by Roswell Park and its affiliates, including procurement and general healthcare transactions. We will likely cross paths throughout the process of protecting your inventions, or during contract negotiations such as Intellectual Property License Agreements, Equipment Purchase and Service Agreements, Clinical Trial Agreements, Sponsored Research Agreements, Collaborative Research Agreements, Material Transfer Agreements, Confidentiality Agreements, Lease Agreements, Professional Service Agreements, Consulting Service Agreements, Employment Agreements, Payor and other Reimbursement Contracts.I also provide counsel and advice to Roswell Park business, research and clinical leadership relating to Intellectual Property Matters, including Patents, Copyrights, Trademarks, and Trade Secrets. Additionally, Data Privacy and Security Laws, Regulatory Compliance, Disputes and Litigation, Fraud and Abuse Laws, Antitrust Laws, Corporate and Research Ethics, Corporate Governance, Risk Management, and Human Resources.I also provide guidance to the organization with respect to applicable regulations and policies, and I advise organization managers concerning legal rights, obligations and privileges in a variety of areas.
