I am an experienced classroom notetaker, scribe and exam invigilator at the tertiary level, who also has two years experience as a tutor in music theory. My bachelor's degree was in Composition and Music Technology (WAAPA) and I have 20 years in the local music industry as a recording artist, performer, writer and producer. One of the songs I produced became a finalist in the WAM Song of the Year awards (2019). Being a self-managed musician has given me the opportunity to teach myself the art of filmmaking and content creation, specifically for the band Khaya. I have recently completed my first film, a short documentary entitled "I'm Still Here", with funding from the WA Dept. Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries. The film focuses on the intersection between disability, music and regional community, and has been exhibited at the Geraldton Regional Art Gallery.

This role involved providing one-on-one tutoring sessions to WAAPA classical students in the area of aural and written music theory. My two main students had learning/attentional disorders, and it was my job to work with each of them to come up with unique exercises and approaches that would eventually allow them to take control of their own learning. In our first semester together both students went from having failed their unit/s twice to both achieving Distinction grades.
