I had the privilege of hosting tours of President Reagan's Rancho del Cielo ("The Reagan Ranch") for students, supporters and other leaders throughout the week. Working directly under media legend John Solomon, I wrote breaking news stories about energy and environmental policy issues from a non-partisan and unbiased perspective. I also aggregated the latest energy/environment news for a twice-daily e-newsletter that was distributed to influential policymakers on Capitol Hill. At the same time, I took part in the National Journalism Center's training sessions, where I learned investigative journalism techniques and heard from seasoned journalists in the field.
