Leader and an integral role in the support and development of Summit Valve and Controls Inc. Directing and managing assigned Department Managers to ensure long-term success of the departments through the development, implementation and monitoring of company processes; including processes in Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan/Manitoba Division. Maintain confidentiality, be supportive to all staff, customers and vendors. Maintain organization and demonstrate effective, appropriate communication. Execute tasks and projects which are crucial to the growth and success of Summit Valve and Controls.

Manage the groups responsible for successful bidding, purchasing, management, completion and post-sales support for received orders, major supply projects and technical support for Summit Valve and Controls. · Mentor each Team Lead to manage activities and personnel within their groups.o Work with Team Leads to identify and prioritize team goals.o Identify and help facilitate training opportunities to promote technical and professional excellence.· Act as escalation contact to the Team Leads.o Resolve technical and commercial issues·Maintain accountability through to completion.· Work with Operations and other Managers to improve, develop and maintain Summit’s procedures and processes.· Collaborate with Bidding Team Manager in support of new bids.· Collaborate and support Technical Team and Automation / Warehouse Team(s) to manage Summit industrial service work.· Provide increased level of liaison and support in working with Summit’s key Vendors, with support from the Vice President and President to complete prioritized initiatives.· Provide increased level of liaison and support in working with Summit’s key customers, with support from Outside Sales Managers to complete prioritized initiatives.

Technical resource and support of sales efforts for multiple industrial product lines and sales offices spanning western Canada. Created and grew Summit Engineering and Automation department. Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic power systems. Quotation specification, creation and review. Direct contact with EPC’s, plants and mines to design, troubleshoot and conceive process solutions. Typical industries served are copper and gold mining, oilsands, potash, natural gas processing, conventional oil.

Application engineering and sales support. New product research and design. Collaboration with sales to identify market requirements for new products. Prototype testing and destructive analysis. Lean manufacturing work cell design and process continuous improvement. Attend industry trade shows across North America as technical company representative.

Aid in design and testing of components for Trike-converted motorcycles. Work with suppliers to develop production components. Disassemble and re-assemble Trike-motorcycles for road testing.
