In my role as Marketing Manager for a growing accountancy practice, I was responsible for developing and leading all marketing and business development activities.Leading the marketing and business development team, I was tasked with strategically planning the workloads of the department in this busy, multi-disciplinary firm. My role included a complete re-brand, incorporating a new image, new website, new service areas, a new office opening and a completely new look on how the firm conducts it’s marketing, PR and brand building.I set and worked to a strict budget, monitoring return on investment for all of the promotional activities to bring in and maintain new business across the firms departments. A key project was the implementation and development of a CRM system, something the firm had never operated before, which helped to plan workloads for my staff, report on the success of all marketing initiatives and closely monitor stats and success rates for the business development team. I represented the firm at exhibitions and networking events, and built up an extensive professional network across the region, which I utilised regularly within my role.I also played a key role in the recruitment process of two Business Development Managers to complement my team. This included initial mentoring of new starters, HR activities, and daily personal management.

A key assignment was to help complete a re-brand of the company’s marketing materials and online presence. I developed the role to ensure effective management of both internal and external stakeholders. I co-managed the Sheffield City Region Breakfast Club, a monthly networking group aimed at developing strategic partnerships between owner managed SMEs and professionals.
