• Nominating and scheduling the TOTAL Group’s physical gas and power portfolio in the UK and Europe to relevant network operators. This portfolio includes a daily average traded volume of 110 Bcm of natural gas and 120 Twh of power.• Commercial responsibility for all operational areas including the major UK and European hubs, interconnectors, storage facilities, LNG terminals, off-shore fields, power plants and refineries.• Coordinating with the Gas and Power trading desks, Upstream and Downstream Group affiliates, Offshore Field Operators and external parties to ensure physical positions are correctly nominated. • Responsibility for balancing this portfolio by reacting to changes in market conditions, and through validating positions by analysing daily allocation information. • Managing operational risk to minimise financial losses through exposure to system imbalance charges.• Optimising within-day, day-ahead and out of market hours positions through trading on electronic exchanges and Over-The-Counter.

• Managed the commercial operations and exposure of TOTAL Group’s carbon offset credit portfolio under the CDM. At its peak this portfolio consisted of 26 clean energy projects located in China, Kenya, Nigeria and Yemen with the potential to deliver 4.5 million tonnes of carbon credits annually. • Performed the role of in-house emissions market expert for the Group. This required keeping up to date on policy and regulations relating to the CDM, EU ETS and emerging trading schemes in Australia, South Korea and China.• Attended numerous industry meetings and events, and provided feedback and analysis to Emissions Trading team on market developments.• Advised Group Entities developing CDM projects within TOTAL operated assets through various stages of project cycle.• Reported the Profit & Loss risk for contracted carbon credit portfolio to the Emissions Trading team, as well as analysing the commercial potential of prospective projects. • Played a leading role in the team responsible for the TOTAL’s first project (TATS solar lantern distribution programme) to be registered under the United Nation’s CDM scheme.

• Responsible for managing commercial delivery of GHG verification services for a global portfolio of clients generating carbon credits in compliance and voluntary emission trading schemes.• Led sales opportunities and contract negotiations with prospective and existing clients looking to secure GHG certification services. • Before being promoted to the role of Client Account Manager, I worked as a Project Analyst. In this role I delivered regular reports to the Climate Change Services team on regulatory and market developments. I also conducted quality reviews of validation and verification reports prior to submission to the United Nations CDM Executive Board for project registration and credit issuance.• Winner of the 2010 ERM Low Carbon Enterprise Fund competition for my proposal to provide technical support to an association of sunflower farmers in Ghana looking to sell carbon credits as an alternative source of finance.
