December 31, 2018 Brenda Porter Price left Elanco as a Senior account Executive in the Dairy Business Unit of Elanco. At Elanco she was part of the Strategic Accounts Value Added Team. Brenda spearheaded the Leah (Low Energy Animal Handling) initiative and was responsible for relationships with key accounts. From 1997 to 2008 she was an Area Market Manager for Monsanto Dairy Business. At Monsanto she oversaw marketing initiatives for Posilac in Washington, Oregon, Northern California and Nevada. She has approached her role as extending beyond the traditional realm of marketing and into the realm of consultant and strategic partner. She adds value for her clients by troubleshooting problems, facilitating dialogue between management and labor and making introductions to other strategic partners in the industry. Prior to joining Monsanto, Brenda served as Director of Marketing (Registered Cattle) at Prices Dairies, Inc., and Vice President/General Manager of Price's Dairies, Inc. in New Mexico. Brenda took on the mantle of General Manager at Price's Dairies, Inc. at a time with the company was deeply in the red and engineered a full-scale turnaround.Originally from West Texas, Brenda is fluent in English and Spanish. She has used her language skills to increase communications between dairy owners and dairy employees. Brenda spoke at the 1999 and 2000 National Dairy Women’s Conferences on the topics of Hispanic labor relations in farming, and efficient and effective dairy management. She also spoke in Washington at the Tri-State Short-Course on Labor Management in 2002.
