In 2019, Brenda brought the HomeSmart brand of real estate to the North Texas area, by launching her franchise location of HomeSmart Stars. In a short time, Brenda has grown the office to more than 100 highly productive agents, exceeding production and revenue goals. Director for the Board of Directors for MetroTex Association of REALTORS, 2019-2023MetroTex Association of REALTORS is the 5th largest REALTOR Association in the US, with 27,000+ members.During this tenure on the BOD, the Directors have approved sale of existing headquarters, review and approval of new land purchase, architectural plan, construction groundbreaking, all the way through occupancy and ribbon-cutting of the new MetroTex Association of REALTORS Headquarters.

In 2011, Brenda launched the United Real Estate brand by launching the flagship office. Taking an idea from inception to proitability and growth beyond. The United Real Estate Dallas office continued to be the largest & most productive office in the United Real Estate brand under Brenda's leadership. In 2016, Brenda joined the executive leadership team to oversee & grow the franchise network to more than 85 locations. As Vice President for United Real Estate, Thompson provided operational and P&L direction, franchise orientation, individual owner and group coaching, agent recruitment & retention guidance, growth & development oversight, to both the franchise and company owned network. For the corporation, Thompson oversaw aspects of operations including the program services department, strategic partnerships, national convention, technology integration and roll-out.• Established policies, procedures, guidelines, training for flagship Dallas office and expansion of United offices nationally.• Executed strategic partnerships nationally for company and franchise brokerage operations. • Development of franchise brokerage offices in all areas of new and ongoing operations.• Oversight of all aspects of corporate operations: program services, technology integration and roll-out, national convention.• Assessed business operations of company owned and franchise brokerages and offer recommendations and guidance for improvement in all areas of the business.• Successfully grew the brand from inception of the first office to more than 85 offices and more than 10,000 agents nationally.

Served on the Board of Directors for Collin County Association of REALTORS 2010- 2011.
