Responsible for the finance and office administration areas of the Society whose role in Salmon Arm is to manage the full spectrum of recreation services provided the Shuswap Recreation Society as well as its role of recreation management for the City of Salmon Arm. Includes the recreation centre and pool, the twin rinks arena as well as all of the fields and parks within Salmon Arm.

The General Manager is responsible for the operation of the co-op on a day to day basis under the formal direction of the Board of Directors in a manner that serves all the member organizations. Specifically I plan, organize, direct and support / guide the growth and operations of finance, human resources, programs, public relations, partnerships, marketing and other business related activities to ensure efficient and effective operations and accountability. I oversee and evaluate financial, administrative, statistical and service accountability by ensuring collection, recording, monitoring, bookkeeping, accounting and administration policies, procedures and systems are in place, to maintain time specific production of required documents to fulfil organization's agreements and requirements.

I am responsible for and carry-out all aspects of the day to day operations of the Society. Specifically, I complete all administrative duties; all statutory reporting; marketing; budget preparation; variance reports; community awareness initiatives; banking; bookkeeping; etc. I work with various funders, providing the information necessary to ensure continued support as well as organize various community presentations and the society annual general meeting. My role requires that I work closely with our Board of Directors. I am client focused, overseeing the various programs and services offered by the Society by leading staff and a dedicated team of volunteers.
