Currently a Client Solutions Analyst for SGM, my history in research and management has been useful in helping the company change the way we do business through systems and support structures.I have been focusing on empowering my team to be able to perform at their best within the socio-economic constraints we currently face. This allows us to look at embracing change through innovation and a culture of support. My background in research, teaching, agriculture and various technical involvements has been pivotal in being able to give direction and assist the greater team to continuously develop (although there is always room to learn and improve on myself as well).Conquering my fear of presenting when I was thrust in front of a class of students as a teacher in training, I have been able to present effectively to several professional audiences and managed to get an award at SASTA congress for presenting an agricultural paper that I co-authored.From not having studied Biology to Matric, I went on to get my Honours in Environmental Biology, do research in microbiology and instrumentation and end up advising farmers as Extension before my current role. One of my biggest strengths is being able to figure out and understand logical processes and then be able to communicate on and explain them to others. I am always keen to learn new things and develop into a better being that can hopefully contribute more to the world.
