Currently working on an exciting project that involves returning road maintenance jobs to direct employment as network contracts expire.

I have been working permanently in this position since 2014. A key milestone was project managing the implementation of a Road Safety Management System at Main Roads, which included significant change management, ongoing operational deployment and refinement. I am also responsible Roadworks Temporary Traffic Management Policy at Main Roads, which in recent times has seen significant input into the Austroads Guides and implementation of initiatives within WA such as mandating Portable Traffic Control Devices in place of manual traffic controllers. I keep public safety at the forefront of all Policy decisions I make striving to implement safe system principles to eliminate road trauma outcomes on our road network wherever possible.

Predominantly reviewed, coordinated and approved works by others within the road reserve. This included new intersections, rail crossings, deeds of agreement and utilities. This was all during boom time!

Rotated around a number of branches within Main Roads to gain understanding of how the organisation operates. Worked in Road Asset Planning, Road Safety and Regions.
