I’m very lucky.That’s undoubtedly been the dominant through-line in my personal life and professional career. Born into a working-class Massachusetts neighborhood, I was exceedingly fortunate to graduate high school, attend college (CU Boulder) and follow my dream to Hollywood. I studied acting at Playhouse West and Stella Adler, improv at Second City and Upright Citizens Brigade, directing at LACC and on studio backlots - and writing at UCLA’s Graduate School of Theater, Film and Television. Yes, you may have seen me in something. No, I will not tell you what 😜I studied entrepreneurship and received my MBA at Babson College. I successfully launched a sole prop and also failed with the first tech startup I co-founded (side note: failure is the better teacher). I was then given an opportunity to help build commercial functions at some incredible companies over the past 10 years. Sometimes I won, sometimes I lost, but I never stopped grinding and never stopped moving forward - because as Churchill so eloquently said, "Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts" - and I’m eternally grateful to everyone who believed in me along the way.I was also lucky to get sober in my early 20s - and in doing so, break a family history of Substance Use Disorder dating back to at least Niall of the Nine Hostages (5th century, Ireland) 😆Luckiest of all was meeting my wife while performing in the Tennessee Williams classic, A Streetcar Named Desire - and having the incredible privilege to start a family. Adding “dad” to my job titles (I've got 3 under 10) remains my proudest and most important accomplishment. At my core, I’m a highly creative people-person, which has serendipitously translated into a career path that allows me to solve complex problems, work with incredible clients and help grow and scale inspiring companies. Some say “luck” is when opportunity meets preparedness - and for that reason, I’ve never stopped learning, never stopped growing and never stopped raising my hand for help or extending it to help others.
