The Trust is the owner and operator of the Hawke's Bay Institute of Sport and Health (naming right is with EIT) the regional version of the AUT Millennium Institute in Auckland. Also delivering community development programmes from Wairoa in northern Hawke's Bay through to Waipukurau in southern Hawke's Bay. Using sport as the channel to activate and inspire healthy lifestyles for children in school through to the elderly wanting to stay stronger for longer the Trust has programmes to improve health outcomes for the region.Operating since mid 2016 I was engaged through the key period of readying the organisation for transition into the new facility and getting the building prepared for opening.

Included:* management of the multi-award winning fitness club, Arena Gym* oversight of all the hiring activity from sports associations to church groups to international concert promoters* management the tenants: EIT, Sport Hawke's Bay, Subway and Regional Sports Organisations* working with and managing a diverse board which included CEOs, Local Authority Councillors, a Mayor and businessmenThe arena is used for community sports leagues, regional, national and international sports events, entertainment events, exhibitions, conferences and large corporate dinners.

Full management responsibility of the regional sports organisation for netball that covered Dannevirke to the top of the East Cape. Small resource to manage for high expected outcomes. Achieved a great deal in this time including financial recovery, organisational credibility and growth.

Consulted to large recreational workplaces in on-job-training system development to meet NZQA Unit Standard Based qualifications.

At the time the company was called Sfrito. Managed a portfolio of clients to deliver on-job industry training qualifications. Developed an integrated training and development system that could be personalised to the workplace that is used as a basis for most of the large clients today.

Initially employed as the Training Development Manager to standardise the training of all staff across the 13 facilities and connect this training to Unit Standard Based Industry Qualifications. Progressed into the HR field also and introduced standard practices for Centre and Line Managers.
