Mechanical Development Engineer
CurrentEmployee #4 at Inversion. Responsible engineer with broad-scope and full ownership across the company of Inversion's next generation affordable and scalable spacecraft and reentry vehicles. I am wholly responsible for the design, analysis, drafting, manufacturing, qualification, certification, and flight of a large portion of components on Inversion's first spacecraft Ray including:• All new, in-house designed satellite separation system that is dual qualified for launch vehicle separation and re-entry vehicle separation from on-orbit portions of the spacecraft• Vehicle primary and secondary structures of the entire spacecraft including launch, on-orbit, and reentry portions• Propulsion subassemblies and components including propellant tanks, tubes and manifolds, valves, schematics and vehicle packaging• Avionics subassemblies including solar panels, harnessing, sensors and antenna mounting, electronics component packagingAs a founding employee at the company, I have also taken on responsibility for building engineering tools, developing company standards and establishing industry best practices. I have built a number of engineering resources and tools including company standard unit test plans for qualification and acceptance testing of flight hardware, analysis resources and best practices for drafting standards, quality practices and more.
