I am a mechanical and aerospace engineer, with 8 years experience as a hardware system owner, responsible engineer, analyst, and part designer. I have demonstrated success with responsibilities encompassing the entire product lifecycle, including initial concept, design criteria, detailed design, analysis, systems engineering, prototyping, testing, qualification, certification, and operation. My core competencies include solid part design; static structural, modal, and dynamic analysis; drafting and design for manufacturing; development, acceptance, and qualification testing; space systems certification; and project management. I specialize in moving mechanical mechanisms, space vehicle structures, high pressure propulsion fluid systems, and integrated mechanical systems.Currently I'm working on the future of spacecraft and reentry vehicles at Inversion, where I'm responsible for many of the integrated structures and mechanisms in both of our fully in-house developed spacecraft, Ray and Arc. Over the next few years we will be bringing entirely new and disruptive capabilities to market that will fundamentally change how the world views and utilizes space.Previously, I worked as a vehicle engineer at SpaceX and a mechanical engineer at Amazon Kuiper. I was directly responsible for the Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy stage and booster separation systems, booster propulsion systems, secondary structures, human spaceflight certification, propulsion system FEM analysis, Kuiper solar deploy mechanisms, and many other components and programs. My hardware has flown to space on Falcon 9 and Heavy rockets since 2016 and includes upper stage rocket and satellite separation systems, integrated propulsion and avionics assemblies, and primary and secondary vehicle structures. I also have experience with industry and government certification, including for human and military spaceflight (NASA, Air and Space Force) qualification of Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy.I studied at UC Berkeley and UC Los Angeles and graduated with BS and MS degrees in mechanical engineering. I’m a lifelong tinkerer and a mechanic, with a strong affinity for getting my hands dirty.
