Supported the Defense Health Agency – Facilities Enterprise branch (DHA-FE) as the Schedule Manager and Management AnalystCreated MS Project Files and integrated into SharePoint Task Lists to manage and track schedule for implementation of a variety of projects. -Serve as the Departmental Administrator for the Department of Chemistry in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS). Effectively communicate and network with multiple departments, colleges and outside agencies to assist the Departmental Executive Officer (DEO) with the daily operations and long term planning of the Department. -Responsible for the financial management of the Department:o Supervise multiple credit card holders, reconciliation of purchase cards, small and large contract purchases and purchase orders. o Manage operational budget of over $200K, salary budget of over $4M, and grant budgets in excess of $7M annually. Developed new tools to proactively budget. Worked extensively with CLAS during time of financial strain to cover shortfalls with minimal adverse impacts. o Strategic planning of use of University of Iowa Foundation Funds to further mission of the Department. -Supervise (directly and indirectly) staff of 24 personnel. o HR Planning and Development: Work extensively with the DEO and CLAS HR Director to optimize the staff hiring and development plan. Liaise with CLAS and other departments to maximize resources and flexibility. o Acted as Chair of multiple searches for the Department, and member of additional searches across CLAS. -Served as the Business Resource Manager for the Enterprise Systems Engineering Division. Oversaw the financial and resource management operations of the Division, including in-depth analysis of finances, personnel, information technology resources, training, and facilities management.
