Graduate School Counselor working with potential grad students to inform them of all Graduate Programs (MSW, MED, MAT, TEACH, and MBA) offered at Louisiana Christian University and offering assistance during the graduate admissions process. Staying in contact with all potential candidates throughout the admissions process. Collecting all data necessary to process each candidate’s admission to the college. Working in Jenzabar software for all admissions related situations, working with VA students and processing VA benefits for Financial Aid, and certifying and processing alternative loan requests. Working with Vocational Rehabilitation, Americorps, Air Force candidates, and Army candidates for Financial Aid. Working in PowerFAIDs system for Financial Aid related situations. Collecting and reporting all data to the Executive Director of Enrollment Management on a weekly basis to include inquiries, applications, and acceptance for each graduate program. Working closely with the Education Department, Social Work Department, and Business Department to help promote and grow each graduate program at Louisiana Christian University. Working closely with the President, Vice President of Academic Affairs, and the Executive Director of Enrollment Management to ensure promotion and growth of the Graduate School. Working closely with the Registrar’s Office, Business Office, Admissions Office and Financial Aid Office to ensure all processes and procedures run smoothly. Working with potential undergraduate candidates to ensure they have all information to apply for admission to LCU. Processing all undergraduate, graduate, non-degree, transfer, online, and certificate applications for LCU. Creating Purchase Orders and Check Requests for the Admissions Department. Handling all emails, inquiries, questions, and concerns for the Admissions Office. Setting up Campus Tours for potential and incoming students. Overseeing the Ambassador student group and attending LCU events.

Teaching student state standards using ARC/IRLA curriculum and Eureka Math curriculum. Building relationships with students to provide a more meaningful educational experience. Using data to meet individual student needs, meeting students where they are, and providing an individualized approach for all students.

Teaching Prek students educational skills for their particular age group. Teaching the students about the Bible, Bible verses, and daily pledges. Building personal relationships with the students by teaching them class rules, sharing with others, taking turns with fellow classmates, listening and following directions, and teaching them to be respectful to others. Teaching the students how to function in a class setting and how to follow a daily schedule. Teaching the students letters and sounds, blends, reading, writing, numbers, shapes and colors.
