I'm thrilled to help increase the effectiveness of river and watershed groups and related community-based organizations throughout the Mid-Atlantic/ Chesapeake Bay region. My job is to help groups define their strategies and goals, expand their community organizing and civic engagement efforts, grow their nonprofit management and leadership skills, and work together for greater impact. I hope to serves as a resource, mentor, and trainer for staff and volunteers of member organizations, as well as collaborates with other individuals, organizations and funding entities. What is most exciting is that I will continue to be involved in both the Choose Clean Water Coalition and the Coalition for the Delaware River Watershed.

In addition to overseeing advocacy activities that include grassroots organizing, government affairs, and coalition building, I now oversee all marketing and communication responsibilities. These include collateral, pitching stories to multiple media outlets, and social media.

Directs Delaware Nature Society’s environmental advocacy efforts and is the primary voice of the organization to elected and appointed officials, reporters and other news media, industry, local/national environmental groups, and other organizations. Actively promotes the growth of the Advocacy department through strategic planning,managing budgets, grants, and supervising multiple campaigns. Collaboratively work with staff and volunteers to deliver an impactful message and action items that improve our environment. Supports implementation of organization’s strategic vision and goals through coalition building, supervising grassroots organizing efforts, and message development. Promotes membership, volunteerism, and marketing and actively works to secure diverse funding sources.

Provides leadership for the Delaware Nature Society’s environmental advocacy efforts and is the primary voice and government liaison of the organization to elected and appointed officials, reporters and other news media, industry, local/national environmental groups, and other organizations. Directs the Society’s advocacy campaigns and legislative agenda, formulates positions and promotes environmental policies and projects for the organization, and oversees policy research and provides analysis on key environmental issues. Cultivates the Society’s grass-roots citizen activism efforts through coalition building, grassroots organizing, social media and publicity, and message development. Coordinates work between the organization and other nonprofit organizations.
