About Brenna Huckaby Ply
As a three-time Paralympic gold medalist and five-time World Champion, I am one of the most decorated and experienced para snowboarders in the world. My journey began in 2013, following the loss of my right leg to cancer at the age of 14. Within two years of entering competitive para snowboarding, I clinched my first World title.In my Paralympic debut at the 2018 PyeongChang Games, I secured two gold medals, including the inaugural gold in banked slalom. In anticipation of the 2022 Beijing Paralympic Games, I spearheaded a groundbreaking inclusivity campaign and earned the opportunity to compete in medal events initially restricted to less impaired athletes. In Beijing, I secured gold and bronze Paralympic medals, and I continue to advocate relentlessly for increased disability representation and inclusivity in sport and society.Beyond the slopes, I'm a proud mother of two young daughters. Using my platform, I openly discuss parenting, overcoming cancer, mental health, and body positivity. My advocacy includes national TV campaigns and partnerships with esteemed brands, speaking engagements, and media activations such as covers of publications like Parents and InRegister magazines.In partnership with Athleta, as part of the Power of She Collective, I'm committed to empowering women and driving positive change by pushing boundaries, amplifying voices, and redefining possibilities both on and off the snow.
