The Mentor Coordinator recruits, supports, and manages the VPF Mentor Program in order to ensure that the veterans served are provided with effective mentor support as they pursue their transitional goals. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: collaborating with Executive Director, Program Manager, and past mentors to establish Standard Operating Procedure for mentor program; coach and guide past and present mentors in supporting their mentees and supported in their efforts; conduct outreach to the community to educate stakeholders on the VPF Mentor Program and its impact; and works with current mentors to develop quarterly community volunteer opportunities for each mentor team.

Integrates the effects of all entities within the twelve-counties of the Lowcountry region that provide any service to veterans or their families. Builds, strengthens, and maintains a region-wide coalition of veteran-focused organizations to ensure that all veterans have awareness of resources and access to services. Work with local, regional, and state leaders to promote veteran health, employment, education, and training while actively participating in working groups dedicated to the SCDVA state-wide priorities such as increasing veteran employment and reducing veteran homelessness and suicide, among others.

Direct our services supporting student veterans and military-connected students as they transition into Clemson, engage with intentional programming, connect with helpful resources and services, and prepare for post-graduation success. Advise our Student Veterans Association whose mission is to build a better veteran community at Clemson. Work with campus partners to build a more veteran-friendly campus, and engage with alumni and supporters looking to give back to Clemson student veterans.- Promoted to Director and expanded the veteran program into a standalone department with more resources, responsibility, and autonomy.- Established the Clemson University Veterans Commission, the university-wide collaboration of faculty, staff, and students designed to increase veteran inclusivity and support across campus.- Manage Military & Veteran Engagement programming, events, and administration supporting over 1,000 veteran and military-connected students enrolled at Clemson University.- Partner with Development to raise more than $250,000 in support of student veteran scholarships, veteran emergency funds, and other veteran support initiatives.- Collaborate with university leaders to adopt university polices benefiting student veterans and military-connected students, such as priority registration, fee waivers, and military transfer credits.- Supervise and train dozens of graduate and undergraduate student staff to assist current/prospective student veterans and military-connected students and promote a veteran-inclusive campus.- Assess veteran programming and services to maximize effectiveness and efficiency while connecting them to the “ClemsonForward” strategic plan.

Served as the point contact for student veterans and military-connected students across the university. Directed the Clemson Student Veteran Center. Facilitate the Clemson Green Zone Training, Clemson Veterans Writing Group, and the Veteran Orientation and Graduation ceremonies. Advocated for institutional changes to better assist and support enrolled student veteran population.- Established the Military & Veteran Engagement program as the inaugural director, researching and implementing best practices to support military-connected students enrolled in higher education.- Built a dedicated coalition of veteran support by networking with campus and community partners.- Increased student veteran engagement on campus ten-fold through strategic engagement.- Staffed and maintained the Clemson Student Veteran Center, the central hub of veteran and military-connected student information, programming, and resources on campus.- Developed intentional programming and policies to prepare student veterans for academic success at Clemson and professional preparedness after graduation.- Educated faculty, staff, and students on the military and veteran experiences by facilitating the Clemson Green Zone Training presentation several times each semester.

I serve as the primary point of contact for most requests to the English Department. My primary responsibilities include:- Carefully and skillfully building the entire English course schedule every semester- Coordinating and communicating with faculty, staff, and students to ensure all parties are being appropriately accommodated- Ensuring that courses offered will enable all undergraduate and graduate students to stay on course with their academic curriculum. - Determining qualified instructors and accommodating rooms for course assignments. - Responsible for all registration services regarding English courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels, many of which fulfill General Education requirements and affect all students across the University. - Enforcing section enrollment caps while constantly working to assist student needs and requests. - Serving as primary academic adviser for all Freshmen, transfer students, and change of major students for their first year in the English major, advising they take the necessary courses to fulfill curriculum requirements and enabling them to graduate on time. Additional responsibilities include (but are not limited to):- Processing Graduate Assistantship paperwork- Working with college interns on the writing, editing, and publication of English Unbound, the English Department's annual publication- Assisting at all Freshman and Transfer Orientations- Building and maintaining English Alumni connections- Serving as the New Student Academic Probation Program adviser for English students who are struggling academically during their initial transition into Clemson, working with them to improve their grades and assist with any specific needs or issues preventing them from achieving academic success.- Assisting any other needs regarding English courses or the Department here at Clemson University.

I work with fellow students and assist them in developing as writers.

As a customer service representative, I assist customers with any questions or issue they might have while multitasking on phones, instant messages, and emails. I review and process paperwork with a critical degree of awareness and precision so that all course material is processed correctly. I also review and edit online traffic school courses before they are published and added to our site so they are in an optimal state for our customers' enjoyment and benefit.

As an Infantry Team Leader, I trained and maintained an Infantry Fire Team that consisted of upward to seven soldiers. I ensured the well-being and discipline of each individual while preparing the team as a whole to be proficient in actual combat during deployments overseas. I was also in charge of all equipment assigned to our team, as well as any vehicles and attached personnel. I also led the team on hundreds of combat patrols throughout Iraq.
