I serve as the primary point of contact for most requests to the English Department. My primary responsibilities include:- Carefully and skillfully building the entire English course schedule every semester- Coordinating and communicating with faculty, staff, and students to ensure all parties are being appropriately accommodated- Ensuring that courses offered will enable all undergraduate and graduate students to stay on course with their academic curriculum. - Determining qualified instructors and accommodating rooms for course assignments. - Responsible for all registration services regarding English courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels, many of which fulfill General Education requirements and affect all students across the University. - Enforcing section enrollment caps while constantly working to assist student needs and requests. - Serving as primary academic adviser for all Freshmen, transfer students, and change of major students for their first year in the English major, advising they take the necessary courses to fulfill curriculum requirements and enabling them to graduate on time.
