My name is Brennan and I'm a driven, young professional with a master’s degree in Social Work focused on International Social and Economic Development. I have contributed to a broad portfolio of collaborative work in community organizing, research, philanthropy, and higher education: HIV decriminalization, reproductive health and gender equity, improvement of HIV service delivery, indigenous education and leadership, student career development, and black, queer equity in the health and social service sectors. With experience living, working, and studying in 15 different countries, my professional experiences have led me to the conclusion that we all share basic human rights to health, education, housing, and meaningful work. I'm presently looking for new opportunities in global health and development, with a particular interest in positions at organizations that prioritize shifting power and resources to the communities most impacted by global inequities through participatory approaches. My work has helped me develop a perspective, rooting in cultural humility, that goes beyond an academic understanding of problems and solutions. My passion lies in cultivating strategic partnerships and building capacity of change-making organizations in order to develop innovative strategies, disrupt systems, catalyze movements, and maximize impact. Please feel free to reach out to me here on LinkedIn any thoughts, comments, or questions about my work or potential opportunities – I’m always interested in making new professional acquaintances.
