While managing a group of Project Managers and Business Analysts, I have responsibility for the portfolio of Encompass Implementations including resource assignments, P&L, and user adoption. In this role, the goal is successful client implementations of a new Loan Origination System. Success is defined as achieving targets for scope, schedule, and budget while shepherding our lender clients to a more efficient, compliant, and cheaper lending platform. Recent accomplishments include improved Portfolio reporting, time tracking, and development of an Implementation playbook for our team of 70+ resources. As leader of the Professional Services Organization’s Change Management initiative, I integrated ProSci’s Change Management philosophy and tools into our enterprise implementations as well as our internal operations. These efforts led to faster implementations and user adoption which led to increased revenue recognition from the success based pricing model. For our customers, this led to cost savings associated with speed to sunset of legacy systems.

Rhode Island Road Runners is the largest running club in the smallest state. We have over 180 members and our membership benefits include access to spontaneous member led, geographically diverse fun runs, a monthly grand prix series, weekly e-update, monthly newsletter, discounts to local races and stores, an annual awards banquet, an annual picnic, and raffled entries to the Boston Marathon (qualifying time waived). Over the last five years, our members have provided pace team leadership to several area half marathons and marathons.

When I joined Embrace in 1995 (then known as Advanced Financial Services), I was one of three dozen Loan Officers in the 50 person firm which was slowly growing. When the expansion became a priority, I was selected to lead the recruiting effort and install policies and procedures to sustain the growth, as Corporate Recruiter. Training and Development were added to my recruiting plate, and by 2001, we were a 250 person, multi-location refinance powerhouse. With staffing levels stabilized, I spent a brief period re-acclimating to sales as a Team Leader managing a dozen Loan Officers, and a half dozen Processors and Underwriters, before embarking on my technology path in 2002, as a Process Analyst. Becoming the premier technology lender was prioritized and we built tools to equip our production staff better than anyone else in the industry. Equipped with some very involved Six Sigma training, I became a Project Manager in addition to my development role. In 2007, we moved to a cutting edge .net LOS platform and I was appointed to lead all application development following the successful conclusion of this project. While the industry contracted, we built technological solutions to manage the tsunami of new regulations, all while becoming paperless. Under my purview are the loan origination system, B2B and B2C portals, and the CRM. I oversee the geographically diverse development staff, database staff, and the help desk serving 550 users in 20 locations. I’m a leader or player on every project that is launched, and my analysis and requirements gathering and documentation litter the organization. The recent introduction of TRID provided the development team another opportunity to demonstrate their prowess. Using our Scrum techniques, we were able to position our sales staff to not miss a beat with no reduction in products with TRID closings beginning on 10/12/2015. Using both project management techniques and agile methodologies make us a powerful team.

Slotted as Gunnery Division Officer aboard the USS Miller (FF-1091), we earned the coveted Battle "E" for our performance in NGFS trials. As Damage Control Assistant aboard the USS Capodanno (FF-1093), I was simultaneously tasked with replacing the Weapons Officer in addition to my role as DCA, earning the Navy Achievement Medal for my performance. We completed our Med deployment from 1992-1993 and participated in Operation Desert Storm, and performed over 100 inspections in support of our maritime interdiction operations enforcing UN sanctions.
