Brennan serves as a Education Counsel (Technical Lead) at PLRB, researching, designing, writing, and publishing PLRB CE Courses on property, casualty, and auto claims topics. Brennan creates CE-Accredited modules from the ground up, designing curriculum with expert speakers, recording the content with a green screen, editing the video in Premiere Pro, and adding effects in After Effects. Brennan coordinates live webinars and produces PLRB's new podcast "What's the Scenario? with PLRB." Brennan has also produces a variety of interactive eLearning courses for PLRB, such as the PLRB Presents! series and the microlearning Claims Chat program.Originally from New York, Brennan took a winding path through the legal field that afforded him the opportunity to gain experience in diverse fields and jurisdictions throughout the country. At the start of his legal career, Brennan took a position with a Wisconsin nonprofit’s satellite office in Washington, D.C. During his time in the nation’s capital, Brennan provided analyses of upcoming statutes and advocated on behalf of children and families nationwide. When he returned to Illinois, he continued to develop interesting ways to educate others on legal issues, and provided practical legal analyses for school district professionals on emerging trends in education.From 2013 to 2016, Brennan worked at personal injury defense firms managing all aspects of a large caseload, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial, in disputes arising out of contracts law, employment law, and insurance coverage. For example, at Patton & Ryan in Chicago, Brennan routinely handled cases in both Illinois and Indiana, assisting with complex litigation and focusing on matters involving professional liability, complex personal injury, and commercial litigation. Currently Brennan is licensed as an Indiana attorney only.
