RedCrest is the Supreme Court of Victoria's online case management system. After demonstrating RedCrest's efficacy in the Technology, Engineering and Construction (TEC) List with a prototype that operated from 2011-2013, the Court decided to introduce RedCrest to the entire Commercial List. Brennan was awarded the Chief Justice's Innovation award for his work in RedCrest. With the support of the Department of Innovation, Brennan has been retained to oversee RedCrest's further development. Brennan has contributed heavily to the technical specifications that have been adopted by this project. Brennan's responsibilities included: • Researching, drafting, editing and publishing his Honour’s judgments, speeches and presentations;• Conducting legal research for His Honour, and providing detailed analysis of case law and precedents;Brennan has co-presented a number of papers with his Honour, including:• Thomson Reuter's Construction Law Masterclass: 'A Holistic Approach to Construction Dispute Avoidance and Management' (May 2013); and• Society of Construction Law Australia's Global Challenges and Shared Solutions: 'Managing the Paper - Taming the Leviathan' (March 2013)
