• Analyzes, develops, coordinates, and implements a variety of plans and programs throughout the City; coordinates relations with the local business community; represents the City in attraction and retention of businesses.• Prepares and directs the preparation of a variety of information for the public including City news, brochures, flyers, mailers, press releases, and other written materials.• Coordinates and oversees a variety of projects and programs; researches and obtains project and program funding; administers project funds and prepares required records and reports.• Makes presentations to the City Council and other City commissions and committees; represents the City in meetings with members of community, business, professional, educational, and governmental organizations.• Performs City website maintenance, including posting, creating, and updating information.

∙ Provides accurate and timely public information on matters related to the City of Albany.∙ Collaborates with staff of the City's different departments to analyze organizational objectives related to communication and assists in developing outreach strategies to complete identified objectives.∙ Assists in the preparation of organizational materials, including City newsletters.∙ Participates in the analysis, review, and implementation of economic development activities to enhance and promote CItywide economic development, support business attraction, expansion and retention, and economic research consistent with the City's economic vision.∙ Researches, analyzes, and prepares data, reports, plans, and other materials related to City communications and economic development.∙ Provides staff assistance for the City's Economic Development Committee.

∙ Serves as lead staff person in charge of citywide special events and volunteer programs.∙ Oversees the marketing of City programs to solicit more/new users; utilizes social media to promote recreation and City sponsored programs. ∙ Recruits, trains, and supervises part-time staff and volunteers. ∙ Collaborates with Recreation Supervisors, to prepare a variety of brochures, calendars, letters, posters, news releases, flyers, and related communication regarding recreation and social services activities.∙ Identifies and actively seeks partnership opportunities internally and with outside groups and local businesses.∙ Promotes interest and provides information regarding assigned recreation and social services activities to school officials, other recreation officials, community service groups, neighborhood associations, other departments, and the general public.

∙ Provides social media outreach through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Nextdoor, E-Notify, and email blasts.∙ Promotes assigned recreation programs and activities; oversees the preparation of publication of a variety of brochures, calendars, letters, posters, news releases, flyers, and related communication regarding recreation programs and activities. ∙ Assists with the planning and supervision of citywide events.∙ Interacts effectively and courteously with City employees, clients and members of the public.∙ Evaluates the effectiveness of recreation programs and activities provided to the public. ∙ Ensures social media sites and websites are current and engaging.

∙ Collaborates with Media & Communications Administrator to plan, organize, coordinate and facilitate public service videos for City departments, local organizations, and local businesses.∙ Operates Audio-Visual Apprentice Program, which provides middle school and high school students with A/V education and work experience at live city events.∙ Collaborates with Media & Communications Administrator and Albany FilmFest organizers to plan, organize, coordinate and facilitate a week-long festival.∙ Performs graphic design functions as needed, including for web, print and social media, televisionbulletin boards, and signage.∙ Performs various broadcasting functions, including maintaining and operating cameras and related equipment to record, broadcast and/or web stream public meetings.

∙ Co-creates, coordinates, films, and edits commercials for businesses.∙ Co-creates, writes, directs, produces, and edits narrative comedy web series.∙ Co-edits web-based trailers for businesses.
