Worked part-time as a Software Engineer while pursuing (and after finishing) my MSc. degree. I worked mostly on HEAVY.AI, a SQL engine with an LLVM-powered backend which JIT-compiles queries to native CPU/GPU code to support processing massive amounts of data.I participated in the development of several key features of HEAVY.AI, in particular fleshing out its support for User-Defined Table Functions, as well as its integration with C++ Machine Learning libraries such as Torch, MLPACK, Intel's OneDAL, etc.

Worked as a Graduate Research Student under prof. Fernando Magno Quintão Pereira while pursuing an MSc.Participated in a few different research projects. My main research focus, which I wrote my thesis on, consisted of a novel compiler analysis/optimization to automatically implement lazy evaluation of function arguments in languages that are otherwise eagerly-evaluated, such as C/C++.The core of my thesis was published in CC 2023.

Worked in a few different projects, including automatic parallelization of C/C++ programs, scheduling of computations in heterogeneous architectures and application of context-sensitive optimizations.Platforms used were mostly Clang/LLVM, and developing in C, C++, Python and Bash.
