CHEMICAL PROCESS OPERATORResponsible for operation of reactors and related equipment involved in the production of various chemicals using the batch Processing method. Products include resins, polyols, gasoline additives, lube oil additives, etc. The vast majority of these processes involve oxide addition (ethylene, propylene, and butylene). This also requires work with various amines, phenols, alcohols, sulfides, hydrocarbons, and waxes.Experienced in the loading and unloading of chemicals (volatile or other) to and from drums, tractor trailers, rail cars, storage tanks, and pressurized vessels. Extensive experience using forklifts, pneumatic/electrical hoists, overhead cranes and man lifts.Responsible for insuring correct process variables and equipment operation in petrochemical production systems such as distillation towers, continuous flow reactors, chemical compression refrigerant systems, boilers, fired furnaces, multi stage compressors, multi stage pumps with associated instruments and vesselsMaintained correct process variables to insure product quality. Qualified for control room operations involving computerized controls. Field duties including visual inspection of all involved machinery and instrumentation for leaks or other malfunctions, containing, clearing and arranging for repair when needed. Experience in developing and writing standard operating procedures as well as drawing and revision of piping and instrument diagrams. Adept in the use of personal computers and applications including LAN systems, Windows applications, etc.
