At Atkins I was responsible for countless airframe structural design and certification projects for OEM clients like Airbus, Boeing, and Embraer. My responsibilities included performing static and fatigue analysis, preparing certification dossiers, and improving existing engineering processes through computer automation. • Static stress analysis and airframe certification for a wide variety of programs including Airbus A330, Embraer KC-390, and Boeing KC-46 Body Fuel Tank. • Fatigue and damage tolerance analysis on Airbus A320, A330, and A350.• Airframe repair and maintenance through MRB support of KC46-A Body Fuel Tank Manufacturing.• Team lead for redesign of KC-390 Auxiliary Fuel Tank inner support structure. Led a team of 4 engineers to a successful delivery of FEM trade studies for improved tank designs. My team’s efforts saved more than 30 lbs from the original design. • Project manager for inter-office design effort. Led a team of Kirkland and Bangalore engineers to an on time and on cost delivery of Geometry Proformas for A321 NEO.

At the Advanced Composite Structures Laboratory (ACSL) I worked as a research assistant on a wide variety of hands-on projects. My responsibilities included fabrication of composite materials and support of various material science and structural engineering research and development projects.• US Air Force research program to develop a method to embed ultra-thin Li-ion batteries into carbon composite structure. On this program I prepared the batteries and lay-ups, cured the composite panels, and performed numerous stress concentration tests via speckle interferometry.• Lamborghini research program to develop a surface roughness characterization for composite panels. For this program I developed MATLAB based software that used profilometer data to evaluate and automatically score composite panel surface roughness. • Boeing research program to prototype a battery-free wireless temperature sensor for use in composite repairs. My team successfully delivered a design that integrated a thermocouple with RFID technology.
