My career in engineering has taken many turns. Responding to demand and fueled by curiosity, I have enthusiastically taken advantage of many opportunities, and have had the privilege of working with highly skilled technical experts in numerous, varied fields. As both a hands-on field engineer and as a manager, I have worked on building science expertise studies, major hazardous substance abatement projects, health and safety audits and consultation, structural engineering field reviews, industrial operational audits, building envelope rehabilitation, construction quality control, and engineering materials research and development projects. The diversity of my experience actually honed my focus on due diligence for property and building assets. Working directly on so many aspects of property operations made me the ideal candidate to oversee and evaluate global studies of major acquisitions from physical conditional to operational efficacy. Over the years I have performed, supervised or peer-reviewed well over 1000 due diligence mandates in Canada and the United States.In recent years, in order to facilitate a merger with GHD, the former president of Inspec-Sol selected me to oversee the implementation of all new health and safety programs and procedures in the Quebec Atlantic Region.In parallel, at the behest of my former university professors at the Department of Building, Civil and Environmental Engineering at Concordia University, I joined the part-time faculty as a lecturer.
