I had the opportunity to work at one of the leading companies in the energy sector. Duracell Aarschot is the only Europe based Duracell factory and produces AA and AAA alkaline manganese batteries for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. My job as a maintenance technician included:- Following the correct specifications and procedures; - Using the correct materials and machine settings; - Performing regular inspections to ensure that the components are within the defined limits; - Performing regular maintenance to both the machines and measuring equipment;- Ensuring a clean workspace.

I was given the opportunity to start the type rating course at Brussels Airlines. This course came to a standstill due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I partially completed the type rating course with 42 hours on the A320 FTD and 36 hours on the A320 FFS.
