Hi! I'm currently a freshman at UC Berkeley in pursuit of a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS). Please take a look at my machine learning and embedded system projects below.I am very passionate about computer engineering. I want to design intricate electronics and make them happen; at the same time, I've loved software since I was a child (now interested in AI and computer vision!). The combination of EECS at Berkeley is a fantastic opportunity for me to explore both my interests. Though I am currently finding more enjoyment on the electrical engineering (specifically circuit design) side though.My primary programming language is Python. Python has a significant number of useful libraries for the projects I get involved with. Python has been most useful with my endeavors into machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence, and computer vision. It was also very helpful for scripting during my Cyber Patriot competitions in high school.In particular, Python within Jupyter Notebook is great. The combination lets me try ideas quickly. This is especially true for the ML and machine vision undertakings.I was recently able to acquire an RTX 3090, which has been extremely useful for accelerating ML workloads, not to mention video game performance.I also have some experience with Java and C++ as a part of advance placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), and honors computer science coursework in high school. I've also had the opportunity to explore HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Vue.js through my personal website, my internship at Parsec Automation, and a project for my IB diploma.I have done some embedded system design. This was for my keyboard project: from schematics capture and PCB layout with KiCad, through firmware in C for an Arduino Micro SBC, to integration and test with the host PC. Unfortunately, my mom accidentally snapped the micro-USB header off, so I'm now in the process of designing a second iteration (this time with an STM32F3 microcontroller!).I love computer engineering and I can't wait to get into VLSI, integrated circuits, and chip design in the coming semesters.
