About Brent Lowson
With over 30 years of international experience in the drilling of oil and gas wells I offer a wealth of knowledge and expertise in both the technical and managerial aspects of well operations in a variety of multi-cultural environments. My most recent assignment involved supervising operations on land rigs in Saudi Arabia, drilling and completing horizontal wells in highly pressured Unconventional Reservoirs. Prior to that I managed the development of a Coal Bed Methane field in China, starting from drilling the first well in 2005 through to managing the drilling, completion and production of over 150 wells over a 10 year period. This was immediately preceded by my role as Project Manager for China's first horizontal, multilateral, underbalanced Coal Bed Methane well. In this position I managed a complex operation in a culturally and technically challenging environment and successfully completed the well on time, within AFE and with no LTA's. Before this I spent 20 years working in the service side of the industry, developing my career with Sperry-Sun / Halliburton from Mud Logging through Drilling Engineering to Regional Manager for Multi-Lateral Technology in Asia-Pacific. During my career I have accumulated many skill sets and am particularly adept at leading multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural teams focused on completing operations safely and efficiently.
