Some of my responsibilities are to oversee the day to day operations of the transportation department, and the transportation call center.Performs supervisory responsibilities of select Transportation Network staff including effectiverecommendations on hiring, training, work schedule, employee grievance, and performance evaluations.• Promotes and maintains accountability of Transportation Network staff.• Assists with ongoing training for staff in adherence to policies and procedures.• Assists with the coordinated development and implementation of ADA, passenger assistance, andsafety training programs for staff with management.• Assist with the training of staff on adherence to laws appropriate to the Transportation Network• Ensure Link staff is properly trained on passenger assistance and defensive driving on a threeyear cycle (or more if needed).• Ensure Link staff maintains high customer service skills through training and coaching.2. Manages MCCOG vehicle fleet• Purchase all MCCOG vehicles through the procurement process; sell all MCCOGvehicles for maximum amount possible.• Ensure all MCCOG vehicles adhere to the vehicle maintenance policy• Work with Field Manager to ensure provider vehicles are inspected annually; work withaudit providers to ensure compliance.Manages Transportation/provider vehicle fleet• Monitor all providers insurance status and notify providers of any insurance policy changes• Investigate insurance cancellation notices.3. Implements and evaluates Transportation Network routes and service delivery.• Reviews daily manifests for ridership, driver accounting, and timeliness of rides delivered.• Maintains processes to implement necessary policies and requirements.• Implements corrective actions as necessary.• Assigns staff for necessary service delivery.• Reviews maintenance requirements for vehicles.• Assists in development and implementation of route planning

My responsibilities were, I helped with the RFP for vehicle maintenance and scheduling software program. I also traveled around the state and trained new drivers on how to drive school buses and the policies and procedures related to transportation for OCDC. I was also responsible for the overall transportation maintenance budget. I also attended many state wide meetings and facilitated training to all OCDC transportation staff.

Some of my job duties a MIDCO were: Oversea the transportation budget, attend meetings with the local school board, work with the community, and the school board to maximize the level of bus service.I was also responsible to hire, train, and manage drivers to transport students to and from school. Customer safety and satisfaction was always the goal.
