Serve as a member of the RCC Deacon board charged with administrative oversight of the Church, especially to the practical needs of the membership. Serve Specifically as the Deacon of Technology charged to oversee the purchase, maintenance, use, etc. of electronic equipment used in the general ministries of the church.

My responsibilities include establishing and maintaining the enterprise vision, strategy and program to ensure information assets are adequately protected. Additionally, provide staff direction in identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining processes across the organization to reduce information and information technology (IT) risks, respond to incidents, establish appropriate standards and controls, direct the establishment and implementation of policies and procedures, and ensure information-related compliance standards are met.

- Director, Application Architecture/Enterprise Services: Served as the director of Application Architecture/Enterprise Services for the TACOM LCMC, responsible for all enterprise/technical architecture, enterprise services, and IT security auditing efforts within the TACOM LCMC. Lead all aspects of architecture and IT service delivery including decisions regarding service levels, strategic direction, cost modeling, and IT security risk recommendations. - Cyber Security Auditing Program Manager: Served as the Program Manager for the TACOM Cyber Security Auditing Program responsible for conducting cyber security auditing and validation efforts in support of the certification and accreditation process within the U.S. Army. The scope of my functional responsibilities focuses on the certification and validation of Army IT business and weapons systems. My technical duties include preparing, planning and conducting auditing and validation efforts. This consists of preparation of Cyber Security certification/auditing plans, conducting validation of required cyber security controls, preparing cyber security auditing Artifacts, Scorecards, and Risk assessment artifacts from the audit findings. As the Program Manager my duties also encompass directing and coordinating all activities within the Auditing Program. I was responsible for staff direction, establishing organization methods and procedures, budget, and personnel requirements for the program office.

Served as the Tank-Automotive Research, Development, and Engineering Center’s Cyber Security Manager (IAM) exercising overall responsibility, staff direction, operational coordination and review over the development, modification, and application of the information security program within the organization. As the IAM, I was responsible for the Information Assurance/Information Technology (IA/IT) Program covering: IT systems acquisitions, information security management, continuity of operations, network/system security, operations security, network/system accreditation (DIACAP), and physical security.

As an Cyber Security Analyst, I was responsible for managing and implementing cyber security projects to anticipate, identify, assess, and minimize risk associated with system and network vulnerabilities (e.g., PKI, Hercules, rouge wireless monitoring, intrusion detection, access control and authentication projects.). Other duties included evaluating telecommunications and network security configuration and performing on-site network security assessments, to include, reviews of current and planned network architecture and topology, system documentation, and I was also responsible for analyzing network access control and reviewing implementation of network security tools such as firewalls, proxy servers and DMZ’s.

Served as Team Leader of the Information Assurance (IA) Team and as the Senior Information Assurance Manager (IAM) within the 205th Military Intelligence Brigade. As the IAM, I lead the Information Assurance Program which consisted of Communications Security (COMSEC), Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP), Enterprise Security Architecture, Operations Security, and certification and accreditation (DITSCAP). I also served as the unit IT Specialist responsible for System Administration, planning, coordination, modification, implementation, and application development. I led and completed projects that included the Brigade NT to AD migration, PKI implementation, vulnerability management, and share point portal development and implementation. As part of my role within the Brigade I was the certification agent responsible for performing technical assessments to ensure that all systems, LAN’s, or applications proposed for accreditation or connection met applicable DOD policies.

Served as the primary advisor to the Battalion Commander on information management, information security and knowledge management issues and ensured that decisions made, actions taken, and results obtained were tenable, cost effective and within established policies, standards, and guidelines. Exercised full managerial, supervisory, technical, and administrative responsibility for planning, developing, and implementing all information management areas including Information Technology Applications (IT), IT Security, and IT services. This included overseeing the continuity of operations plan, applications security, operations security, physical security programs, and certification and accreditation programs (DITSCAP).
