Responsible for maintaining and implementing North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) CIP standards for cyber and critical cyber assets for both Version 3 and 5. These sites include one energy supply facility, three power plants, and three data centers.Provide consulting, leadership and technical guidance to peers for multiple IT projects. Provide daily support for a 24x7 networks encompassing over 50 locations in four states, with the goal of maintaining and/or increasing network and systems integrity. The corporate environment consists of over 1800 servers and 600 Cisco switches and routers as well as 15 HP 3PAR arrays over fiber channel. Responsibilities also included providing advanced planning, design and implementation of network architecture and components for major IT projects.o Implemented a 50 site MPLS WAN using Cisco ASR and ISR routers while leveraging GETVPN encryption while still allowing QoS, VOIP, and multicast support between sites. Connectivity was also load balanced between two data centers with three second failover.o Implemented an upgrade from VMware 5.1 to 5.5 then 6.5 on over 200 hosts with approximately 1800 virtual machines. This included vCenter, ESXi hosts, firmware, storage software and clients.Maintain infrastructure in four Tier 1 data centers in New Mexico and three in the Tampa Bay area. Responsible for the architecture of route/switch, servers both physical and virtual, storage area networks, the fabrics associated with them.o Responsible for the architecture, procurement, and overseeing the installation of many of Tampa Electric’s Tier 1 applications such as EMS, ADMS, AMI, MDM, SAP (CRM/ERP/BW/BO/PO), and others.o Responsible for all core data center route/switch at all Tampa Electric Data Centers.o Responsible for creating the data center to SaaS and IaaS infrastructure for Tier 1 applications such as AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure).
