Over 30 years public sector experience working on some of southern California’s most complex and successful public/private sector economic development, redevelopment mixed use projects, as well as infill multifamily acquisition rehabilitation developments, new infill market rate for-sale housing developments, industrial development, major public improvements, new parks, public art and way finding projects, down payment assistance and rehabilitation loan programs. Completed major, neighborhood revitalization efforts and historic preservation projects. With collaborative team oriented approach, he has lead diverse public and private sector teams through numerous market analysis studies, concept design, forward planning and entitlements, development agreement negotiations and execution, financing and construction development management. These efforts resulted in the creation of over 3,000 housing units, retail commercial mixed use and industrial developments which added over $700 million of new real estate investment to the cities he worked in. He has an extensive deal-making background in real estate and is expert in the use of public and private financing to fund projects. His development projects in Anaheim and Ontario have turned around once economically blighted and crime infested downtown and neighborhood areas, lowered health and public safety costs and improved the quality of life and long term stability for thousands of residents. Brent has a Political Science/Public Administration Degree from California State University Fullerton and a Masters of Business Administration from Chapman University. He is married for 38 years and has two children and three grandchildren. When not at work he enjoys being home with his family or flying.
