Responsible for the oversight and management of multiple research grants awarded to CSRI.

Worked as a research technician with the vector group at LSTM looking at the frequency of insecticide resistant markers for kdr and AChE in An. arabiensis from Sudan. This was done to establish the baseline frequency in order to determine if the new malaria control programme would have an effect on the insecticide resistance within the local vector population.

Contracted as a Monitoring and Evaluation Consultant at Liverpool’s Centre for Neglected Tropical Diseases. Travelled to Zambia, Tanzania and Liberia to carry out a situation analysis on the current M&E situation and practices within each country. A report was written summarizing the findings, listing recommendations for each country and outlining an M&E Plan for the M&E/Capacity building at officer CNTD.

Worked under the Professor of Epidemiology at the University of Lethbridge, Christopher Armstrong-Ester - Taught and marked 3rd year Epidemiology classes - Sourced existing research for future studies in Epidemiology and conducted detailed literature based preliminary studies: 2007 - 2008: The Differences between Community and Hospital Based Strains of MRSA Literature based preliminary study that examined the different methods of evolution of community associated MRSA versus hospital acquired MRSA. 2006 - 2007: Bushmeat Hunters Awareness of Zoonotic Disease Transmission Literature based preliminary study based on existing knowledge of hunters of wild meat and their awareness of zoonoses.
