I have a deep-rooted sense of service with an accomplished record of achievement in operational and strategic leadership, process improvement, organizational development and emergency management. At present, I am throughly enjoying be part of Longview Solution Groups Incident Management Team roster where I am fortunate to serve in a multitude of roles.After a distinguished 25-year U.S. Coast Guard career, I worked in serval fields in WA before returning to my home state of NC. Deputy branch director for the Naval Base Kitsap, Maritime Test and Evaluation Branch, WA state Criminal Investigator where I served as a team leader, instructor and field training officer and, the Training Specialist for the Washington National Guard Bureau Youth Challenge Program. A credit retrieval program for at-risk youth, where I managed the professional development of a 70-person staff and provided training and mentorship for over 200 cadets.In my Coast Guard career, I served in multifaceted operational and executive leadership positions, including the privilege to serve 12-years as a unit commander. I was credited with leading the response to more than 1300 marine incidents, rescues and at-sea salvage missions and natural disasters.Additionally, I am a credentialed Career Technical Educator with a concentration in Criminal Justice and Maritime Science, a licensed Merchant Mariner and, Firearms Instructor.
