As a Consultant in the Data & Analytics practice at CapTech, I have supported firms across several industries as a Data Engineer, Data Analyst, and Visualization Developer by defining and delivering innovative, data-driven solutions that best fit their business needs.Mostly recently, I developed data pipelines to facilitate fair, reliable, and auditable credit line increases for a financial services company. These pipelines automated the ingestion and processing of data from disparate sources through the likes of Google Cloud Platform Cloud Functions, Dataproc Workflows, and Cloud Storage, as well as Matillion ETL. I also built Snowflake Snowpipes to ingest continuous streaming data and capture changes in credit line increase history before storing it in a siloed data mart.Additionally, I served as a Data Analyst on a team conducting an Enterprise Data Strategy Assessment for a large national manufacturer through which we provided architectural recommendations for Master Data Management, data ingestion and storage, business intelligence, and middleware platforms. Prior to the engagement, I conducted extensive preliminary research into the client's business model based on publicly available information and compiled findings into a detailed deck, which provided vital background information for the team going into the project. Blending my technical skillset with business acumen, I led discussions with stakeholders from all across the business and synthesized our findings into use-case analyses that drove our architectural recommendations.

Under the inspired direction of music director Christopher Zimmerman, the FSO maintains its reputation as one of the finest regional orchestras in the country and has been hailed by the Washington Post as “a crown jewel of the cultural landscape.”

As a Recruiting Analyst, my responsibilities included watching film to evaluate athletic ability of recruits, requesting transcripts for measurements of academic performance, and conducting data analytics to determine which recruits to pursue. I developed and presented a model of national recruitment from 2016-2018 to the Director of Player Personnel, resulting in reduced scouting in the Midwest and a more efficient reorganization of recruiting efforts.Our main goal in the UVA Football Recruiting Office was to recruit student-athletes who demonstrate academic achievement, athletic ability, and exemplary character. We strived to find recruits who would be leaders both on and off the football field, while abiding by NCAA, ACC, and University rules and regulations.

The Charlottesville Symphony at the University of Virginia is one of Central Virginia’s leading musical ensembles. Exciting Masterworks, Holiday and Pops concerts regularly bring audiences to their feet. Orchestra members also perform at a wide variety of community engagement events and take great music into K-12 classrooms throughout a seven-county region.The Charlottesville Symphony is a unique blend of professional musicians – many of whom are also music faculty members at the University of Virginia – accomplished community members and talented university students from diverse academic fields. Together, they create high-energy learning and listening experiences. Since becoming a member of the Symphony in the Fall 2017 semester, I performed in each of the Masterworks concerts, the 2017 Youth Concerts, the 2017 Holiday Concerts, the Conduct Us community event, and the 2018 Pops at the Paramount Concert. In August of 2018, I was one of three student members of the Symphony selected to perform as a trio at President Jim Ryan's speech, "The Hope that Summons Us: A Morning of Reflection and Renewal."

In 2016, I attended the Brevard Music Center Summer Music Institute on scholarship for the 80th Anniversary season. I studied under Mr. Alistair MacRae of the Princeton Symphony, Maestro Ken Lam of the Charleston Symphony, and Maestro Keith Lockhart of the Boston Pops, as well as performed in a string quartet master class with Professor Felix Wang of the Blair School of Music. Additionally, my string quartet engaged in multiple community service opportunities, including performing Dvorak’s “American” Quartet to introduce the string instruments to children at the local Boys and Girls Club.The Brevard Music Center stands as one of this country's premier summer training programs and festivals. More than 420 gifted students, ages 14 through post-college, come to the Music Center every summer to study with a distinguished faculty of over 80 artists from the nation's leading orchestras, colleges, and conservatories.
