While at Teneo Properties I oversaw several building projects as well as its several sizeable renovation projects. My role as Special Projects Manager wass to manage each of these projects to completion, ensuring both quality control and cost effectiveness.

As Vice President of Residential I was responsible for the daily operations of Teneo's residential portfolio. This included maintaining each property to the highest standards, establishing vendor contracts, advertising vacancies, online marketing, staffing, minor bookkeeping, and liaising with municipal, provincial and corporate agencies in connection with tenant issues and/or zoning or bylaw regulations.

I foundered this company to provide much needed quality carpentry and renovation services to Southern Saskatchewan during the early stages of its recent economic boom. Our primary focus was on improving client living spaces, and thus their quality of life, through innovative and efficient service. We also had the opportunity to provide several commercial clientele with custom-built cabinetry solutions for a number of applications, including the Saskatchewan Trade and Export Partnership, Saskatchewan Production Studios and Masonite Canada Corporation.

I began my career in England with Charles Barrett Interiors as a bench joiner (British for carpenter) where I was instructed the traditional hand joinery techniques of England. After leveraging my extensive experience in Canadian retail franchises while working on jobs for Habitat UK and Red Bull I quickly moved into shop fitting ( a term given to the carpenters who install custom cabinetry in their end locations). After a short time on the shop fitting team I was promoted to team leader because of my ability to efficiently solve the many problems that arise with site work. As team leader I was responsible for all aspects of product installation, including safety courses, permits and liaising with the general contractors. After Charles Barrett Interiors was sold to Wates Interiors I remained the team leader for shop fitting for a period before I was promoted to Site Manager. As a site manager I was responsible not only oversee our own shop fitting team but also the myriad of sub-trades we engaged to complete out contracts. I also met with general contractors, architects and quality surveyors on a number of issues.During my time with Charles Barrett and Wates Interiors I had the opportunity to work at the highest end of the interior market, such as the Royal Mews at Buckingham Palce, Kensington Palace, Portcullis House at the Houses of Parliament, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, Harrods, Chinese Mandarin Hotel, Reuters, Chase International, MG Rover, Lorna Piona, Channel etc.

I began volunteering as a home group pastor at Langely Vineyard in 1993 with my wife Gwen under the direction of Gary Best and Al Doerksen. In 1994 we moved to Regina for university and helped plant the Regina Vineyard with the senior pastoral couple, Garth and Katherine Johnson. While at the Vineyard in Regina my wife led worship, we lead house groups, she led Sunday school, we led alpha groups, I preached and led youth groups as well as taught in Sunday school. After five years in Regina we were invited to England to assist at the Croydon Vineyard in London.While at the Croydon Vineyard we continued to pastor in various roles and co-led several missions/aid trips to various countries (India, Zambia, South Africa, Northern Ireland, Austria, France, etc.).After returning to Canada my wife and I have continued to volunteer at our local churches but in a less official capacity (currently, in 2012, we lead a house group, she leads worship and I preach occasionally at St. Croix Vineyard in St. Stephen, NB).

Regia Saskatchewan

I began my work for Chalet Manufacturing assisting the lead cabinet maker in the production of all interior finishing and cabinetry for Robin's Doughnut stores. When not filling orders from Robin's we did work for other clients such as A&W and Jump.ca. We also built and installed custom kitchens. After a period of time I also assisted with installations of our retail products in Regina to as far away as St. Catherine's, Ontario. Aside from my carpentry duties at Chalet I trained and mentored several new staff.

Lake Cowichan, Bc

While at Cottonwood Industries I apprenticed under master log home builder Lachlan Berner building luxury log homes for an executive clientele throughout Southern Vancouver Island and the surrounding Queen Charlotte Islands. I began as a carpenter's helper and moved to an apprentice position before eventually being promoted to a lead-hand. As a lead-hand I was responsible for managing a small crew of log restoration specialists at Skaleem Village (a federal contract that was featured in Log Home magazine upon completion).
