Pacific Ocean - Southeast Asia - South China Sea

Fully integrated into all shipboard evolutions for a period of 91 days. Sailed on 7 voyages across the Pacific Ocean, including 2 Great Circle transits and crossing the Equator totaling 11,503.1 nautical miles. Assisted the Mate on Watch with daily evolutions including conning, the launch and recovery of aircraft, and bridge recourse management. Aided in ocean, coastal and harbor navigation, preparation and correction of charts/ publications, preparation of Pre-Arrival/Departure Navigation Briefs, equipment tests/checks in accordance with CFR's and Safety Management Procedures, and preparation of gear testing prior to any maneuvering details including steering gear in all modes, propulsion and navigational equipment.Participated in the Pacific Partnership, a multinational mission in the Pacific that focused on disaster preparedness, response and humanitarian assistance. Other duties included platform officer in charge and hospital tender crew member supervising the safe mooring and transfer of patients, medical staff, distinguished visitors and crew.Also took part in Joint Operations with the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force passage exercise across the South China Sea.Assisted in four underway replenishments via connected replenishment both at a refueling station and on the bridge.
