Brent has been teaching Computing & I.T. in Colleges of Further Education/Institutes of Technology/Industry in the Isle of Man, the United Kingdom and Ireland since 1983. He changed careers from Chemistry, in 1980 where he trained and qualified as a Cobol and BASIC Programmer, afterwards he studied HNC Electronics and for five years he was a Computing Technician/Network Manager at a London College. He was Head of Computing at Palmer's College, Essex for three years and Computing Training Manager at E.W. Payne, London for two years.
