I began my architecture career in Asheville, NC in 2005 working for a small design/build firm and progressed from a small high end residential projects to larger multifamily and mixed use projects. The entrepreneur bug hit in 2014 and I owned + operated a running retail business in downtown Raleigh selling the business in 2019. I returned to architecture + development in the same year + I am currently overseeing project design direction, project management as well as marketing and branding direction for Carpenter Development Group and our brokerage partner Elm Partners in Raleigh, NC.The Small Business Life-As co-owner + general manager of Runologie, it was my mission to bring a thriving running community and retail environment to the growing downtown Raleigh area. Runologie has been established as a unique running store in the downtown Raleigh area and is currently the only independent running retailer in the city of Raleigh. Carrying a unique variety of brands and products to help keep any customer running, walking and moving in the right direction, Runologie has become a downtown base for the Raleigh runner.-At Fleet Feet Raleigh I gained a strong base in retail sales, operations + inventory management. I also have vast experience in managing and maintaining strong inventory levels while balancing strong sales performance in a busy retail environment. I combined my architecture + design experience by designing 2 of Fleet Feet Raleigh's Raleigh locations + designing graphic logos for training groups, racing teams + marketing materials. -Specialties: Residential design, mixed use residential design with a strong background in construction and construction systems. Interior finish design: commercial and residential design. Design and construction administration coordination.-Proficient in CAD software including Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Vectorworks, as well as graphic design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.-In my spare time I enjoy playing drums, runs on Raleigh's greenways and playing with my twin boys and daughter whenever I can catch them.
