I believe employer-sponsored Healthcare plans have the ability to change lives because they changed mine. At the age of twenty-one, my employer offered an incentive for me to complete an annual physical where I discovered I had metabolic syndrome. This diagnosis was a wake-up call and ignited my passion for well-being and the employer's role in empowering employees to reach their health goals.Knowing and sharing the latest employee benefits trends with my network is something I’ve been doing since 2006 via my newsletter, The Healthy Bottom Line - News for Employee Benefits Professionals. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside talented individuals at consulting houses and various public and private employers across the country.My role as Regional Vice President of National Account Medical Sales for Anthem/Elevance enables me to collaborate with consultants and benefits executives on their employee benefits strategy. During my life, I've had the privilege of living in seven different states and have studied abroad in Israel, India, Nepal, and Peru. My experiences traveling, a major in Environmental Geography, and a career in benefits have heightened my awareness of how a place impacts people's health.Just a heads up, I take my job seriously, but not myself.
