The enterprise solutions division of the company was in need of some assistance as they were expecting large increase in work. I then joined the team to work as a developer/analyst for a few of the MRI related projects, involving Web Page and Report development through the MRI Application Toolkit, custom integration development, database migration and MRI upgrades. A new opportunity came along for me to share my expertise with other parts of the company, where a support manager role was required for support and completion of minor enhancements for a suite of custom .Net developed web applications. The new role demonstrated my leadership and teamwork skills from years of experience in support and project work, where I was responsible for:  Management of a team of 5 developers Fulfilling the role of PM, QA and BA  Perform application support SQL development tasks The creation of monthly and week Project Management documents for the clients IT management team and facilitated weekly meetings with the clients IT management team.

Alongside the 3rd party support team existed an additional projects team which completed any enhancements to the 3rd party applications supported as well as the development of new integration interfaces between custom or other 3rd party applications. I was tasked by the management to take over this role concurrently while performing in my support management role. In this role , I exhibited the skills required to manage a project through out the various phases of the software development life cycle. The tasks I performed includes:  Management of a project team, consisting of a business analysts, developers and quality analysts. The creation of monthly and week Project Management documents for the clients IT management team. Facilitated weekly progress meetings with the clients IT management team. Managing client expectations and communicating deliverables. Developed internal team processes, as well as training and mentoring employees.  Created an internal “how to” guide/check list for first time project managers and assisted as a member of the Project Management COE.

As I increase in experience, I took over as support manager of the entire 3rd party support team, which included multiple portfolios for accounting and finance applications, design and construction management and tenant work order management predominantly used in the real estate industry. In this new role I exhibited leadership and teamwork skills in my duties as a support manager, where I was responsible for:  Management of a support team, consisting of around 10 employees. The creation of monthly and week Project Management documents for the clients IT management team and facilitated weekly meetings with the clients IT management team. Developed internal team processes, as well as training and mentoring other employees. Assisted as a leading member of the Support Centre of Excellence (COE). Mentoring. Ensuring that weekly milestones are attained.

I started my career at Open Box Software working as a Data/Support Analyst, where I served as a versatile employee with a wide range of responsibilities on a team which provided 3rd party application support . I demonstrated my capability in managing an entire support portfolio for two 3rd party construction management applications. I later transitioned into the team lead for this portfolio. My tasks included the development and management of reports, providing support for international clients and the maintenance of an integration interfaces with accounting applications.

I began my internship at Woolworths while completing the third year of my diploma. Working as a Data Analyst within the BI department (and later employed full time for the same role), My primary task was to support the companies’ financial reporting platform where I was responsible for investigating data issues as well as creating technical specification documents and development of new reports.
