In my position with Walgreens I reduced the Shrink from an approximate high of 5% down to a low of approximately 1.5%. This was accomplished with constant training and store audits. I developed and coordinated relationships with local, state and Federal drug enforcement agencies to reduce the spread of Narcotic Drug Diversion. I was able to accomplish this decrease in theft through employee investigations, pre-hire background checks and the use of computer based inventory controls. We used various computer data systems to develop drug theft cases. • These Loss Prevention positions included managing a security budget, security officer programs and advising the Regional Vice President on Security and Loss Prevention programs that I had implemented in my Area.• I Served 12 years in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. This included Combat Operations during Operation Iraqi Freedom. I assisted in the development and implementation of security and stabilization operations in the third largest city in Iraq. I assisted my chain of command by providing static security for Iraqi government buildings, conducted site surveys, and made site security improvements. Working with my superiors, we were able to transport and secure several multi-million dollar money shipments in coordination with United States Army Special Forces units.
