Pool Corporation distributes swimming pool and related backyard products primarily in North America and Europe. The company offers approximately 160,000 national brand and its own-branded products to wholesale customers. It sells maintenance products, such as chemicals, supplies, and pool accessories; repair and replacement parts for pool equipment, including cleaners, filters, heaters, pumps, and lights; packaged pool kits comprising walls, liners, braces, and coping for in-ground and above-ground pools; pool equipment and components for new pool construction and the remodeling of existing pools; and irrigation and landscape products consisting of irrigation system components and professional lawn care equipment and supplies. As the leader of the Canadian business Brent has full P&L responsibility and is tasked with leading and aligning the efforts of more than 200 Canadian based employees from coast to coast across 16 locations.

As the leader of the Canadian business Brent has full P&L responsibility and is tasked with leading and aligning the efforts of more than 300 Canadian based employees.

Through the leading and motivating of over 65 Sales Professionals, was able to grow the Canadian Corporate business by 37% over a three year period while at the same time improving the margin by three points. Focused leadership and strategic vision paved the way for a complete restructuring which resulted in a stronger alignment to satisfy the needs of the customer base. Strong talent acquisition and development during tenure in the role was evidenced by a less than 7% annualized employee turnover.

After proposing and implementing a new sales structure, built a solid, highly successful team of 12 sales professionals. Awarded the top National Sales Manager award in Canada the first full year as a manager and the second year as a result of top revenue and gross profit results. Achieved Presidents Club status for 2003 and 2004 for completing the previous sales years at over 100% of budget for both revenue and gross profit and eight of twelve direct reports achieved Presidents Club status in 2003 for exceeding revenue and gross profit targets.

Using a consultative and solution selling approach with senior executives, took self developed prospects through the sales cycle to the point of negotiating a long term contract. Achieved Presidents Club 2000 and Presidents Club 2001 status for the 1999 and 2000 sales years while also receiving the award for top performing National Accounts Manager in 1999 within Canada.

Tripled the revenue generated by territory within 11 months through managing existing customer base and acquiring new accounts.
