I am on a crusade to spread Joy thoughout the world. Far too many people spend far too much time being scared of their emotions and the messages they receive form their hearts. We are in an age where those messages are the most important ones to listen to. Research has proven that our hearts are able to process comolicated situations that our minds cannot. In February of 2020 we saw multiple societal standards come screeching to a halt. Work moved remote, Public interaction was impacted on a daily basis by new standards and precautions, and the business world was forced headlong into a new reality.It was in this world that we created Emerald Flash,LLC. We are firmly rooted in the concepts of innovation and change management. We recognize that in a rapidly changing environment it is necessary for organizations to combine agility with clarity of purpose. Our consulting has been focused on non-profits. We assumed this focus recognizing that the next critical battles would be fought on the lines of impact/cost. We help clients build messages about their passions, but then we take this a step further. Our focus is to help organizations create tangible proof of their intent. I leverage opportunities to provide strategic leadership and direction through the delivery of effective business consultancy, contracted services, and mentoring to clients. The approach is always based on assessing the needs of my client. Strategies and techniques are tailored to the challenge at hand, but are most often based in assuring strong communication at all levels, and highly functioning teams. I use psychometric tools for assessment of individuals combined with VSM and other process design tools to streamline operations.I have also contracted to serve as transitional leadership to clients experiencing structural changes. I mentor and coach clients on business growth initiatives and how to become a dynamic transformational leader. Neilsen Manufacturing provided the foundation for my career. This foundation was built from a focus on "Customer First", LEAN process design, and continuous improvement. Neilsen Manufacturing was my first executive leadership role, exposing me to all the different pieces of an organization and how important it is for leaders to identify their key focus. I was exposed to the politics of a family business, as well as to the incredible power of a highly functioning team.Neilsen Manufacturing was a medium sized Contract Manufacturer with $50 million annual revenue. We provided services to OEMs ranging from sheet metal fabrication to full value added assembly services. NMI was recognized nationally for its innovative programs in lean manufacturing, JIT delivery and Open Book Management. We were known for a focus on "Delighting" our customers. As VP of Customer Development I had broad responsibility over the customer focus. This included:o Owned all aspects of Customer Service delivery • HR functions • Development and oversight of Sales Forecasts and Expense Budgetso Member of Executive “Management Committee” with primary responsibility as Customer Advocateo Member of Board of Directorso Participated in Development and Implementation of significant Restructuring and Downsizingo Built and managed cross-functional team consisting of 24 front line managers.
